By creating an account or using Relief, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Who we are

Relief is operated by the Relief team ("we," "us," "our"). These terms form an agreement between you and the Relief team.

What Relief is

Relief is a private, end-to-end encrypted app intended for adult romantic couples to share moods, intimate notes, photos, and other moments with each other. It is not a social network, dating service, or public-content platform.

Eligibility

You agree not to use Relief to:

Although we cannot decrypt the content you upload, violations discoverable through other means (abuse reports, plaintext metadata, legal process) may result in account termination and reporting to authorities where required by law.

Your content

You own the content you create. We hold an encrypted copy on your behalf solely to deliver it to your partner's device. We claim no ownership over your photos, notes, or other content, and we do not use them to train any model, run any analytics, or generate any derivative product.

Account deletion

You may delete your couple's account at any time from Settings. This is permanent — all couple-scoped data is removed immediately and cannot be recovered.

Lost couple code

The encryption model means we cannot reset or recover a lost couple code. If both partners lose access to the code and there is no logged-in device that still has the derived key cached, the encrypted content cannot be decrypted by anyone, including us. Treat your couple code like a password.

Service availability

Relief is provided "as is." We make no guarantees of uptime, availability, or freedom from errors. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time, with reasonable notice where feasible.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Relief and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data, loss of profits, or emotional distress.

Changes

We'll update the date at the top of this page when we change anything material. Substantive changes will be surfaced in-app before they take effect.
